any recommendations for an interactive chore chart for kids to make chores fun?

I’m trying to figure out how to make chores more appealing for my kids. Right now, it’s a struggle just to get them to help out. I’ve heard that interactive chore charts could turn it into a fun activity, but I’m curious about what really works.

Has anyone had success with apps or physical charts that made chores enjoyable for their kids? What ages did you find it worked best for? I’d really appreciate any tips or experiences!

A magnetic chart on the fridge worked best for us. My kids enjoyed moving stars around and seeing their progress. It felt more engaging than apps.

My kid actually got pretty excited about one of those spinning wheel charts where they could flick the arrow to pick their next task. Something about the element of surprise made it feel less like work and more like they were playing a game show. We tried a few different approaches and found that physical things they could touch and move around held their attention way better than any app we downloaded.

We started using a simple point system with colorful stickers and it totally changed things around here. Each chore has different point values and my kids can trade points for small treats or extra screen time on weekends.

What made it work was letting them help design the chart and pick what rewards they wanted to work toward. My younger one loves getting those shiny star stickers while my older kid prefers saving up points for bigger things.

I found that around ages 6-7 is when they really start getting excited about tracking their own progress. The visual part seems to click for them at that age and they actually remind me when I forget to give them their stickers.
